The Maurice 'Rocket' Richard Trophy is awarded annually to the leading goal scorer in the National Hockey League. It was donated to the NHL by the Montreal Canadiens hockey club in 1998-99.
The only franchises with multiple winners of the trophy are the Florida Panthers, with 2, and the Calgary Flames, who had a player, Jarome Iginla, win the trophy outright and share it in a 3-way tie another year. In the history of the NHL, counting co-leaders as fractional wins, Montreal Canadiens have led the league in goal-scoring 14 times, Toronto Maple Leafs 11 times, Boston Bruins, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks 8.5 times each, and Edmonton Oilers 6 times.
