The River Deben is a medium length river in Suffolk stretching from the Estuary at Felixstowe, up inland through Melton and into smaller streams. There are many Yacht and Dinghy Clubs on the river Deben these include the Deben Yacht Club, the Waldringfield Club, and the cruising club.

The Deben Estuary is a statutory Special Protection Area for wildfowl and other wild life.
