Richard Morant (born October 30, 1945 in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, United Kingdom) is a British actor.

Morant is a nephew of the actor Bill Travers and the actress Linden Travers and a cousin of the actress Penelope Wilton and Lindy Wilton, he has enjoyed a long television and theatre career. He created an impression as the bully 'Flashman' in a BBC1 adaptation of the Thomas Hughes novel Tom Brown's Schooldays (1972) and followed this up with a regular role as 'Dr Dwight Enys' in the popular BBC series of Poldark (1975). Later he played Bunter to Edward Petherbridge's Lord Peter Wimsey. His stage appearances have included a starring role in Noel Coward's Private Lives at the Oxford Playhouse in 1984.

His first wife was the actress Melissa Fairbanks, a daughter of the actor Douglas Fairbanks Jr.
