Richard Kell is an English footballer currently playing for Barnsley F.C. He was born in Bishop Auckland on 15 September 1979. He joined Barnsley from Scunthorpe United F.C. in June 2005 along with team-mate Paul Hayes. Since joining Barnsley he had an unsuccessful loan period at Scarborough F.C. in which he played two games. He has only appeared once for Barnsley also. He has broken his leg twice in his career.
