Ricardo Enrique Bochini (born January 25, 1954 in Zárate, Buenos Aires) was an Argentine professional football player.
El Bocha Bochini is one of the most important all-time football players in Argentina, and the most important to play for Independiente. A one club man, in his 20 years of professional football, from 1972 to 1991, Bochini played only for Independiente, and participated of the club's Golden Era, with 8 international titles, 4 Argentine championships, and the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
He played a total of 740 matches scoring 107 goals. But it's not for his goals that he was one of the best play makers of the 80s. More often, Bochini assisted teammates with subtle, shrewd movements to help them score. Even now, bochinesco passes refer to precise passes made to the forward to leave him one on one with the goalie, bypassing other defenses.
