The Rhode Island General Assembly is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. The lower house, the Rhode Island House of Representatives has 75 members; the upper house, the Rhode Island Senate has 38 members. Members of both houses are elected every 2 years.

Joseph Montalbano of North Providence is the current President of the Senate and William Murphy of West Warwick is the current Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Democrats hold the majority in both chambers.

The General Assembly meets in the state capital of Providence, Rhode Island.
