Rancid is the debut release, a 7" EP, by punk band Rancid, released in 1992. It was released by Lookout! Records, home of Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman's prior band, Operation Ivy. This is a very powerful recording of the band in their earliest days as a three-piece. Only released on seven inch vinyl, these songs have never been rerecorded on future albums.

A common Bootleg recording from these sessions exists named Demos From The Pit. It contains nearly twenty more songs, half of which are unreleased, the others are different versions of songs from their debut full-length album, Rancid. Many feature completley different lyrics, and music.
