Railion is a European (mainly German) railroad cargo carrier.

Railion is the result of merging DB Cargo AG and NS Cargo NV. The company is named differently in each country:

• Railion Deutschland in Germany
• Railion Nederland in the Netherlands
• Railion Danmark in Denmark
• Railion Italia in Italy since 2005

The holding company, Railion GmbH, is based in Mainz. 94% of the shares are held by DB AG, and the remaining 6% by NV Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways).
