The Great Public Schools Association of Queensland Inc. (GPS) is an incorporated body involving a small number of Private secondary schools and Brisbane State High School in a variety of sporting and cultural activities.

The GPS Association Schools


GPS Schools include Brisbane State High School, State Grammar Schools created under the Queensland Grammar Schools Act, and some more prestigious religious schools.

The GPS Schools are:

St Laurence's College in South Brisbane was a short time member, but was compelled to leave the association in the 1920s due to the fact that it did not have both a turf wicket and a football oval.

The Queensland Girls' Secondary Schools Sports Association Inc


The Queensland Girls' Secondary Schools Sports Association Inc (QGSSSA), working in collaboration with GPS, coordinates the equivalent program for female students.
