The easternmost and westernmost points in the United States are named for two brothers.
Point Udall at the east end of Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands is the easternmost point in the United States including territories and insular areas. It was named for Stewart Udall, United States Secretary of the Interior under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson. A sundial known as the Millennium Monument was built on Point Udall for the New Year's celebration in 2000.
Point Udall also refers to the westernmost point in the United States, on the Orote Peninsula, Guam. It is named for Stewart Udall's brother Mo Udall.
