Phaeton or Phaethon may refer to many different things, all deriving ultimately from the mythological figure.

Phaethon

  • 3200 Phaethon is a small asteroid, or possibly a comet with some characteristics normally associated with asteroids. Fragments from this body shed when it approaches the Sun are responsible for the Geminids meteor shower occurring in mid-December
  • Phaethon is the genus name of the Tropicbirds
  • Another Phaethon was a son of Eos, the Dawn Goddess.
  • Phaethon, or "Phaethon Prime Rhadamanth Humodified (augment) Uncomposed, Indepconciousness, Base Neuroformed, Silver-Gray Manorial Schola, Era 7043 (the "Reawakening")" as is his full name, is the protagonist of the novel The Golden Age by John C. Wright
