Phaeton or Phaethon may refer to many different things, all deriving ultimately from the mythological figure.

- Phaethon is the genus name of the Tropicbirds
- Another Phaethon was a son of Eos, the Dawn Goddess.
- Phaethon, or "Phaethon Prime Rhadamanth Humodified (augment) Uncomposed, Indepconciousness, Base Neuroformed, Silver-Gray Manorial Schola, Era 7043 (the "Reawakening")" as is his full name, is the protagonist of the novel The Golden Age by John C. Wright
