Peptostreptococcus is a genus of anaerobic, Gram-positive, non-spore forming bacteria. The cells are small, spherical, and can occur in short chains, pairs or individually. Peptostreptococcus are slow-growing bacteria with increasing resistance to antimicrobial drugs.
