Paul Raven is an underground rock bassist best known for his work in the seminal post-punk/industrial group Killing Joke and the thrash/alternative metal band Prong. Other projects of note include 1991's Murder, Inc., which included Geordie Walker and Paul Ferguson of Killing Joke, Martin Atkins (formerly of PiL and Ministry), and Chris Connelly on vocals. During that time, he also participated in Pigface, a project conceived by Atkins as an ever-morphing musical circus which regularly changes line-up.
Another project of note was his work with the group Zilch, which included hideto Matsumoto, and Ray McVeigh.
In recent years, he has worked as bassist in Godflesh and, most notably, rejoined Killing Joke for their 2003 eponymously titled album. In December 2005, it was announced that Raven was also going to working for Al Jourgensen of Ministry for their latest album, Rio Grande Blood.
British Rock Star, Gary Glitter also recorded under the name of Paul Raven whilst on Decca records in the 1960s.
