Personal Protection Officer to the Prince of Wales from 1969 to 1981. Officer was made an MVO in 1982. He was born in 1940 and joined the Metropolitan Police in 1960. He was a station sergeant when he was first appointed to protect the Prince, and rose to be a Superintendent in 1981. He retired in 1983, after which he became Director of Civil Defence in New Zealand.
