  • 1994 Creation of Parrot by Henri Seydoux.
Development of voice recognition technologies.

  • From 1995 to 1998, company produces electronic agenda with voice recognition technology.

Parrot join the Bluetooth SIG.

  • From 2000 to 2006, company’s growth. Lots of subsidiaries are opened and lots of hands free car kits are developed.

  • 2006 Launching Parrot PHOTO VIEWER and Parrot SOUND SYSTEM, first wireless peripherals created by the company to accompany mobile new uses (music, photo).

Since its beginnings, Parrot's core competence has been the technologies for embedded noise-robust voice recognition and signal processing, with applications in mobile computing and mobile communications.

Parrot has assembled all the expertise required to quickly turn its ideas into products, from the development of signal processing algorithms and application software, to the design of dedicated chipsets. Parrot also has adopted an outsourced manufacturing model.

Hands free car kits


Parrot Corp. has a hands-free car kit range very developed and optimised to the automotive sector. Company develops also Plug ‘n’ Play kits, kits with advanced functionalities (color screen, contact storage, GPS antenna, etc.). OEM solutions for car manufacturers and fleet management are also invented.

Home Products


In 2006, Parrot launch the Parrot PHOTO VIEWER, a Bluetooth® photo frame which is created to show photos directly from electronics products. In parallel, launching of Parrot SOUND SYSTEM, a new concept of wireless Hifi. No wire is needed to listen to the music: send your music by bluetooth® at Parrot speakers and listen it.
