The Paiwan () are an aboriginal tribe of Taiwan. They speak the Paiwan language. The unique ceremonies in Paiwan are Masaru and Maleveq. The Masaru is a ceremony that celebrates the harvest of rice, whereas the Maleveq commemorates their ancestors or gods.
