Oxygen is an American cable television channel. It is currently available in 65 million homes, was launched in 1998, and carries programming aimed at young women. Its parent company, Oxygen Media, is privately-held and was founded by Geraldine Laybourne, talk show host Oprah Winfrey, and producers Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner and Caryn Mandabach (of Carsey-Werner fame).

Its original programming includes Campus Ladies, Bliss, Oprah After the Show, Talk Sex with Sue Johanson, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, and Girls Behaving Badly. Geraldine Laybourne is the channel's founder, chairman, and CEO. Competitors to the channel include Lifetime and Women's Entertainment. Oxygen has been available on DirecTV for many years, and arrived on the Dish Network in early 2006.
