Oxfam is the largest retailer of second hand books in Europe selling in the region of 11 million books per year.

Most of the over 750 Oxfam charity shops around the UK sell books, and over 70 of these are specialist bookshops.

Books are donated direct to shops by the public, or through the more than 1000 Oxfam "book banks" in convenient locations around the country.

The proceeds of the sales of the books goes towards the work of Oxfam
