Oxacillin sodium (Bactocill®) is an beta-lactam antibiotic in the penicillin class. It has been used particularly in the treatment of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, and resistant strains are often called oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA).
