Outaouais is a region of western Quebec, Canada. Population: 338 491 (2004). It includes the cities of Gatineau (Hull, Aylmer), Montebello, Pontiac, and Maniwaki and is located on the north side of the Ottawa River opposite Canada's capital, Ottawa. Outaouais is the third-largest region in Quebec (Population) It is home to the Gatineau Olympiques, a junior hockey team in the Quebec Junior hockey league.
