Oshnavieh (in Kurdish: Şino) is a city in northwestern Iran with more than 53,000 inhabitants, west of Lake Urmia about 1,300 metres above sea level. It lies in the West Azarbaijan province. Oshnovieh is a very historic city and home to many historic sites from the time of Hurrians and Urartu.
