Orblivion is a 1997 album by The Orb released by Island Records. It is known as one of the most popular electronic albums of the 1990s and some of The Orb's "best music of its career". It is characterized by a trippy vibe and "jazzy mid-tempo grooves" as described by Jim DeRogatis.

Trivia

  • The track "S.A.L.T." features samples from the film Naked, spoken by main character Johnny when he's discussing the Apocalypse with a security guard. Its title stands here for three things related to destruction:
    1. The Strategic Arms Limitation Talks.
    2. "Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, Taurus", the four zodiac signs of the apocalypse from the Book of Daniel, mentioned out of order in the movie's rant *.
    3. The practice of salting the earth in order to destroy it.

  • The track "72" is presumably named for its making the album's total duration be 72 minutes.
