Old Baseball Cards (OBC) was founded in 1991 by a group of baseball card enthusiasts on Prodigy. Today, OBC is a group of online collectors interested primarily in old baseball cards from the 1900s through the 1970s. The primary activity of the group is sending old baseball cards through the mail to each other, to complete "wantlists". OBC members mainly communicate via e-mail, although members often meet together for in-person "swap sessions". The people involved are all ages, from teenagers to grandparents. OBC welcomes all vintage baseball card collectors, provided they deal honestly and fairly with the others. OBC members can often be spotted at large sportscard shows, sporting hats and/or shirts with the OBC logo.

OBC'ers are notorious for their love of low-grade baseball cards (known within the group as Tiptons). This term, coined by OBC member Larry Tipton, was once only heard of within the group, but has begun to see wider acceptance within the card collecting community in the past few years.
