The Northern Beaches is a general term to describe the northern suburbs of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, located near the coast of the Pacific Ocean. This area extends south to the entrance of Port Jackson (Sydney Harbour), west to Middle Harbour and north to the entrance of Broken Bay.
The Northern Beaches district includes the local government areas of Manly, Warringah and Pittwater.
The suburbs of the Northern Beaches district include Manly, Fairlight, Seaforth, Clontarf and Balgowlah in the Manly local government area; Belrose, Brookvale, Harbord, Curl Curl, Forestville, Killarney Heights, Davidson, Dee Why, Frenchs Forest, Manly Vale,Narraweena, Beacon Hill, Cromer, Collaroy and Narrabeen in the Warringah local government area; North Narrabeen, Warriewood, Elanora, Ingleside, Mona Vale, Bayview, Church Point, Newport, Bilgola Plateau, Avalon, Clareville, Whale Beach and Palm Beach in the Pittwater local government area.
The Northern Beaches is home to the Northern Beaches Secondary College.
