Nick 'Peanut' Baines is the keyboardist of the British indie-rock band, Kaiser Chiefs, and has been described as quiet and sensitive. He can be often easily recognised from the rest of the band as he is normally the only one who wears a hat and also two ties during performances.

Baines also seems to have a vast collection of Converse trainers in different colours. In the Kaiser Chiefs DVD Enjoyment a younger Baines was played by a puppet wearing his hat. Peanut is 27 years old and his birthday is in March.
What Peanut likes about being in a pop group, is that he's allowed to be rude.

Peanut has claimed to be God, saying "I am here, there and everywhere". This is also the main reason why he always wears a stylish hat: to prevent the beam of light that connects his head with heaven from being spotted. He also has a light switch, to control this as and when he needs to. He says, ' The beam can come in handy when we need extra lighting at gigs'.
