Natural Bridge State Resort Park is a Kentucky state park located in Powell County, Kentucky adjacent to Daniel Boone National Forest, near the Red River Gorge. Its name comes from a natural bridge that is the centerpiece of the park.

Natural Bridge State Park Nature Preserve


Natural Bridge State Park Nature Preserve consists of approximately 1,188 acres of land located in within the boundaries of Natural Bridge State Resort Park. In 1981 this land was dedicated into the nature preserves system to protect the geological system and rare species habitat. There is 13 miles of trail over uneven terrain, of moderate to strenuous difficulty. The natural bridge geological sandstone arch spans 78 ft and is 65 ft high. This formation has been weather crafted for millions of years.
