National Institute of Technology (NIT) is a system of for-profit colleges in the United States (not to be confused with the National Institutes of Technology in India). They offer career training across several program areas, from electronics and computers to health care to automotive technology. NIT maintains an active placement service to assist graduates in securing employment.
