Nam Cheong Station is a station in Hong Kong of the MTR and the . The livery color of Nam Cheong Station is pale green yellow.
Located to the west of Nam Cheong Estate and east of the West Kowloon Highway, Nam Cheong Station is billed as Hong Kong's first fully-integrated MTR and KCR station, as opposed to the Kowloon Tong, Tsim Sha Tsui, or Mei Foo interchanges between the two systems, which are separate stations that are convieniently linked to each other. The station, however, maintains separate paid areas for MTR and KCR passengers, and thus does not provide cross-platform interchanges between the two rail lines. Instead, passengers changing between the two lines must ride an escalator to an underground concourse in order to change into the other line's paid area.
The line passes between the rails of without stopping.
A public transport interchange, located to the east of the station, allows for easy and convenient transfers to other modes of public transport.
Located in the MTR Area
All 4 platforms are located at ground level. The West Rail platforms are completely covered, creating the illusion that they are still underground.
Octopus Card users can easily transfer between West Rail and Tung Chung Line trains through the use of the Transfer Gates separating the KCR and MTR areas. Once the card is placed on the reader, the KCR or MTR train fare will be deducted and you can walk over to the other side. If you accidentally went to the wrong area by mistake, you must exit through the exit gates of your current area (not the Transfer Gates) within 15 minutes or an extra fare will be charged.
