Nakajō (中条町; -machi) is a town located in Kitakanbara District, Niigata, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 27,026 and a density of 319.53 persons per km². The total area is 84.58 km².
Nakajo no longer exists now as the adjoining village Kurokawa and Nakajo formed a new city of Tainai in early 2005. Now Tainai city has a popuration of approximately 33,000.
