Nahor (Heb. נָחוֹר) is the name of two persons in the Old Testament:

(1.) The father of Terah, who was the father of Abraham.

(2.) A son of Terah, and elder brother of Abraham. He married Milcah, the daughter of his brother Haran, and lived in the land of his nativity on the east of the river Euphrates at Haran. He was the father of Bethuel and his grand-daughter Rebekah became Isaac's wife. His great-grand-daughters and Rebekah's nieces Rachel and Leah became Jacob's wives.
