In 1912, Annie Besant, Marie Russak and James Wedgwood founded the Order of the Temple of the Rosicrucian. However, due to the numerous problems orginating in England during the First World War, the activity was be suspended.
Besant returned to her tasks as World President of the Theosophical Society, Wedgwood continued working as bishop of the Liberal Catholic Church; and Russak, contacted in California a Harvey Spencer Lewis, to which helped in the elaboration of the rituals of the Order Rosicrucian AMORC.
At the end of the 20th century, in Latin America the interest was revived in the orders of initiations, mainly those related with the spiritual traditions of West. In those days, a member of the Society Teosofic, well-known as in the circles rosicrucian like Frater Initiator, began to work for the re-foundation of the OTRC.
At the moment, they work in several countries for the rebirth of the Order of the Temple of the Rosy Cross (OTRC) with the new name of Mystical Order of the Temple of the Rosy Cross (MOTRC). The official creation is planned for the year 2012, when are completed 100 years from the original foundation.
Grades: The Order possesses three grades of initiation: Neophyte, Pilgrim and Master. Nevertheless, the same as the authors of the Theosophy, it is insisted in the difference between the ritual initiation and the true one Initiation, reason why this outline of grades is symbolic and it does not have any relation with spirtual progress of each member.
The Order has several postulates or bases in which sustains its work:
Secret societies | Religious orders
Orde Místic del Temple de la Rosacreu | Orde Mística do Templo da Rosacruz | Mystiska Orden av Rosenkorstemplet | Ordre Mystique du Temple de la Rose-Croix | Orden Mística del Templo de la Rosacruz | Ordem Mística do Templo da Rosacruz
