Mozartkugel (English: Mozart balls) is a type of ball-shaped chocolate-coated confectionery, consisting of a core of pistachio- and almond-marzipan, with an outer layer of nougat coated with bitter chocolate. It was invented in 1890 in Salzburg by Paul Fürst and was named after Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was born in that city.
