Moonpod is a computer game company founded in 2002 and located in Sheffield in the UK. It was founded by Mark Featherstone, Nick Tipping and Darren Griffiths (who later left the company in 2005), having left Rage Software Limited shortly before it was forced to close. Their first release, Starscape, won the coveted Game Tunnel 'Independent Game of the Year' award 2003.

Game Development Diaries

In March 2004, Moonpod took the decision to publish monthly updates showcasing the development of their games with the intention of being as transparent and honest as possible about every aspect of game development. Nick Tipping has publicly commented about the lack of information released by indie developers about their upcoming works, which he believes is the result of rampant cloning of game concepts within the indie games industry.
