Mifflin Township, located in mid-Ohio, is shared by two counties. It is one of 18 townships in Richland County, Ohio and one of 15 townships in Ashland County, Ohio.

It borders the following Richland County townships:

• Madison (west)
• Washington (southwest tip)
• Monroe (south)
• Weller (north)

It borders the following Ashland County Townships:

• Milton (north)
• Montgomery (northeast tip)
• Vermillion (east)
• Green (southeast tip)

There are three Mifflin townships in Ohio. The other two are: Mifflin Township, Franklin County and Mifflin Township, Wyandot County.
