The Melodians were considered one of Jamaica's greatest rocksteady bands. They were formed in Kingston in 1963. Members included Trevor McNaughton, Tony Brevett, Brent Dowe, and Renford Cogle.
Their biggest single, "Rivers of Babylon", was featured in the soundtrack of the film The Harder They Come.
