The Mayor of New York City is the chief executive of the New York City government, as stipulated by the Charter of the City of New York. The office entails being the head of government and chief administrator for the 'five boroughs' of Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island and Queens that make up the City of New York.

The 108th and current Mayor of New York City is Michael Bloomberg, a Republican.
