Marta Kauffman created the TV series Friends with David Crane and was the executive producer of that show along with David Crane and Kevin S. Bright. Together they also produced Veronica's Closet starring Kirstie Alley and Jesse starring Christina Applegate. As of 2005 she is an executive producer on Related. Kauffman attended Brandeis University and received her BA in Theater in 1978.
