Mark Aronoff is a well-known morphologist and a professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His 1974 PhD thesis earned him the nickname "the father of modern morphology".
Dr. Aronoff has been the editor of the journal Language. He is also the current president of the Linguistic Society of America.
