This article is about a mythological creature. Marica is also an alternative spelling of Maritsa, a river in Bulgaria. Maritsa Plovdiv is a football club named after the river. It may also be used as slang in South American Spanish for "gay".

In Roman mythology, Marica was often used as another name for Fauna.

In Greek mythology, Marica was a nymph, the mother of Latinus. Latinus was fathered by Faunus, who was also occasionally referred to as the son of Marica. The sacred forest near Minturnae was dedicated to Marica. A lake nearby was also named after her.
