Maria Taylor (b. 1976 in Birmingham, Alabama) is half of the duo called Azure Ray,with Orenda Fink, on Saddle Creek Records. She's also a member of Saddle Creek's Now It's Overhead. Currently, she is pursuing a solo career and has released one album 11 (Maria Taylor album) on Saddle Creek on May 24th, 2005. She plays piano, guitar, drums, and sings. She has worked with Bright Eyes, Moby, Abra Moore, David Barbe, and Crooked Fingers.

She is currently dating indie rock icon, Conor Oberst.
