The Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) is a hospital in Manchester, England which was founded by Charles White in 1752 as a cottage hospital capable of caring for twelve patients. Its first premises was a house in Withy Grove, Manchester.

As it grew in importance, the infirmary moved to considerably larger premises in the area lately known as Piccadilly Gardens (the gardens were only created after the demolition of the MRI in 1914), and then in 1908, in partnership with the then Victoria University of Manchester, it relocated to its present site on Oxford Road.

It is a teaching hospital of Manchester Medical School, University of Manchester and part of the Central Manchester and Manchester Children's University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Other teaching hospitals which are part of the same NHS trust are: St Mary's Hospital for Women & Children (founded 1790), the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital (1814), and the University Dental Hospital of Manchester (1884).
