Mallory bodies (also known as alcoholic hyaline) are pathologic inclusions found in the cytoplasm of liver cells. They are most commonly found in the livers of people suffering from alcoholic hepatitis. The bodies themselves are made up of keratin filament proteins that have been ubiquinated, or tagged for destruction by the protein, ubiquitin.
