Malahide (from the Irish Mullach Íde) is a picturesque suburban village of Dublin City located in County Fingal (fomerly County Dublin), Ireland.
The town is situated 16 kilometres north of Dublin city, on the train line to Belfast. It lies between Swords and Portmarnock. It is one of Dublin's wealthiest suburban towns. The name Mullach Íde in Irish means The Promonitory of St. Ita. It is home to approximately 15,000 inhabitants. Malahide is popular with tourists as it is noted for having a homely atmosphere, fine nearby beach and beautiful castle and demesne.
Malahide boasts the fine Malahide Castle and gardens, which were once the estate of Lord Talbot de Malahide. The town grew in popularity in Georgian times as a seaside resort for wealthy Dublin city dwellers. This is evident today in the fine collection of Georgian houses in the town and along the seafront. Malahide also has a fine collection of pubs and restaurants. There is excellent golf nearby.
Malahide is served by the DART.

Malahide also is featured in the film Yesterday's Children, in which a housewife from America has dreams and visions about an Irish chirch and family in Malahide. She travels across the Atlantic to where she believes she lived in a former life.
