Mae Young (born March 12, 1923), is a former professional wrestler who is a native of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, USA.
Young had multiple achievements during her wrestling career. She won the NWA's Florida women's title once, and she was a women's United States champion once.
Despite this long career, Young did not make her WWE debut until September of 1999, when she and The Fabulous Moolah were seated at ringside for a Smackdown show. Then-WWE star Jeff Jarrett invited Moolah into the ring, and later smashed a guitar over her head. When Young tried to help Moolah out, Jarrett put Young into the figure four leglock.
After this appearance, Young and Moolah began appearing regularly on WWF televised shows. On the September 27, 1999 edition of Monday Night Raw Young and Moolah defeated then WWF Women's champion Ivory in a "Handicapped Evening Gown Match" which saw Young get stripped to her bra and panties. Young managed Moolah during Moolah's WWE Women's title victory over Ivory at the No Mercy pay per view in October 1999. Young and Moolah both competed in the women's match at Survivor Series 1999. At the age of 77, she was named the WWF's "Miss Royal Rumble 2000". Young appeared to remove her top during this pay per view show, which aired from Madison Square Garden. The New York Post did a page 3 story about the incident, with the headline, "Grapplin' Granny Nude At the Garden?". WWE officials claimed that Young was wearing a prosthesis, and thus was not actually exposing herself. Moolah and Young continue their friendship to this day. The pair both currently reside in Columbia, South Carolina.
In 2004, she and "Moolah" were invited to tour, as guests of honor, with the WWE's modern stars as part of that organization's 50th anniversary. Young and Moolah joined many other former wrestlers on that particular tour. 2004 was also the year in which she was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. She, along with several other lady wrestlers, starred in the 2004 film "Lipstick and Dynamite" which is a documentary about the women wrestlers from the 1950s era. Moolah and Young appeared on episodes of the Jay Leno show and the Conan O'Brien show while promoting this movie.
In one of the most bizarre World Wrestling Entertainment angles, Young gave birth to a human hand during a backstage skit. According to the storyline, Young was dating WWE superstar Mark Henry, and the pair had announced that Mae was with child. During this storyline, The Dudley Boyz, specifically Bubba Ray Dudley, powerbombed Mae from the middle rope through a table. This was done due to the Dudley's loss to Mark Henry with the help and interference of Mae Young.
Young re-appeared at 2006's New Year's Revolution pay per view during the Bra And Panties Gauntlet Match, entering the ring and doing a strip-tease, whilst The Fabulous Moolah watched on. She was attacked by Victoria as she left the ring, which led to Moolah and Mae fighting back and removing Victoria's top. This helped Ashley Massaro to go on and win the match.
Vince McMahon found Mae Young's "Other Hand" out of the behind of Jim Ross, during a skit where Mr. McMahon played "Dr Henie" in a parody of Jim Ross's Colon Surgery of 2005.
Mae also made an appearance at WrestleMania 22 in a backstage segment with Gene Snitsky (who has a known Foot Fetish) in which he was "fondling" her feet.
