MAE-East is an Internet Exchange Point spread across the east coast of the United States, with locations in Vienna, Virginia, Reston, Virginia, Ashburn, Virginia, New York, New York and Miami, Florida. It is the eastern branch of the MCI Internet Exchange.

MAE-East provides many connection options to members. Frame relay encapsulation is offered at OC-3, OC-12, and OC-48 speeds using Packet over SONET. Gigabit ethernet connections are offered on 1000SX or 1000LX optics. Finally, ATM connections at DS-3, OC-3, and OC-12 speeds are offered.
