Märkisches Viertel (MV) is a locality in the borough of Reinickendorf in Berlin. It was built in 1964 by the GeSoBau (Gesellschaft für sozialen Wohnungsbau). They built skyscrapers which are max. 16 floors high.
Today it has a lot of poverty and unemployment. The rapper Sido grew up in Märkisches Viertel and still lives there today.
