Loimata Iupati is the resident director of education of Tokelau, a series of Pacific atolls which colletively form a territory of New Zealand.

Iupati is currently translating the Bible from English into Tokelauan, a Polynesian language akin to Samoan and intelligible to speakers of Tuvaluan.
