The Little House Wayside is a three acre wayside located seven miles northwest of Pepin, Wisconsin and approximately one mile southeast of Lund, on the plot where Laura Ingalls Wilder was born in 1867.

The site features a replica of the house that was featured in Little House in the Big Woods. The site is now an open prairie. The site is maintained by the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society. The house is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. local time. The house is closed for the winter after the snow gets deep. The unfurnished cabin contains a fireplace, two bedrooms, loft, and information about Wilder and her family.

Directions

Drive Wisconsin State Highway 35 north of Pepin (along the Mississippi River), and take County Highway CC (formerly Wisconsin State Highway 183) north for seven miles.
