“Big six” banks

Many of these banks have diversified into financial services that used to be distinct, with subsidiaries besides the regular commercial banking (deposits, lending, and the faciliation of payments): corporate finance, credit cards, securities brokerages, and others. However, they wish to market themselves as "one-stop" financial-service services; this one reason why some of them now brand themselves with broader names, such as TD Bank Financial Group, BMO Financial Group, and RBC Financial Group.
