• Lilliput was also the name of a magazine (Lilliput (magazine)) and a Swiss all-women band formerly known as Kleenex.

• Lilliput is reputedly named after a townland near Mullingar in Co. Westmeath, Ireland

• Lilliput is the name of a district in the town of Poole in Dorset, United Kingdom

• Lilliput is a genus of jumping spiders.

• Lilliput is the Russian word for midget. It is probable that the word was copied from Swift's novel (as in Germany) or that it was derived from German like many other words.

• Lilliputaner is the German word for midget. It is probable that the word made its way into the German language from Swift's novel in the 18th century.
